Anxious and Aggressive Dogs in the Grooming Salon

Does your dog suffer from extreme anxiety or aggression?

Has your dog been turned away from multiple grooming salons? Does he perhaps even need to be groomed under anesthesia, something you would prefer to avoid? Then you’ve come to the right place!

In my grooming salon, I have helped several dogs who needed to be groomed under anesthesia due to extreme aggression. Now they are calm and some even come in happily! This aggression often stems from fear, and I am eager to work together with the owners to address this issue.

The first step is an introductory meeting, where the dog comes in with the owner. This gives the dog a chance to get acquainted with the scents of the grooming salon and myself, which can significantly reduce stress. This introductory session usually lasts between 15 to 30 minutes and includes a conversation with the owner while the dog is allowed to explore and sniff around freely.

During the introductory meeting, I observe how your dog reacts, and based on that, we create a treatment plan together. It’s important that the owners also work on this at home, as we achieve more together than we can alone.
